What is MachineryDirect.net about?
At MachineryDirect.net we try to bridge the gap between buyer and seller of Industrial
machinery. Seller/Machinery dealers can advertise their machines for potential buyer
to view and make enquiry.
If buyers of machinery are unable to find machinery they are looking for then they
can advertise their machinery profile at no cost.
Why should I advertise my machinery with MachineryDirect.net?
Firstly, If you wish you can advertise your machinery at no monthly recurring cost.
Unlike other service where you pay monthly for advertising your machinery,
at Machinery Direct you only have to pay 4% of the cost once your machinery is sold. In
other words there is no charge for advertising your machinery till the time you
sell. This service of ours makes us unique
Secondly, We receive a large amount of traffic and unique visitors every month.
Is MachineryDirect.net website monitored?
Our website is constantly monitored to provide users with best possible service.
We have qualified sales and technical staff to handle all your enquiries during
working hours. For outside hours assistance we prefer email with your enquiries.
Membership
How much does it cost to advertise?
Machinery advertised on commission on sale are requested to pay 3% only after your advertised machine is sold.
Machinery advertised on monthly basis are charged $AUD 9:90 (inc GST) per advertisement. Australian customers are required to pay GST on their advertisements.
I want to change my email address what do I do?
If you email address has changed then please verify your personal details and
send us your new email to support@machinerydirect.net
How do I become a member?
Fill in our member registration form and click
on your email for validation. This is all it takes to become a member.
Do I have to become a member to advertise machinery?
Yes. To advertise your machinery you have to become a member.
What is the benefit of becoming a member?
By becoming a member you can advertise as many machinery you prefer. View your current machinery advertised and keep abreast of all enquiries received. Most importantly you get your machinery advertised to potential buyers.
What happens when someone enquires about my machine?
Email with potential buyer's detail is sent to your specified email. You could also view sender's enquiry details from member's area.
Adding Machinery
I advertised machinery on commission on sale. I have sold the machine now and wish to delete this advertisement. How do I do?
If you have sold machinery advertised on commission on sale then please sent us an email to support@machinerydirect.net saying you wish to delete the advertisement.
What format of image can I upload?
Images must be in jpg or gif formats only.
What is recommended image size to upload?
All images uploaded made are resized proportionately to width 370 pixels.
An ideal image size would be width 370 and height 280 pixels. Thumbnails
are automatically resized to width 47 pixels * height 39 pixels.
Why does my thumbnail look distorted?
All thumbnails are dynamically resized to width 47* height 39 pixels. So
if you upload a image with longer height and shoter width, it tends to
get a bit distorted while resizing to thumbnail.
How many images can I upload for one advertisement.
upload up to 4 images are allowed for each advertisement.
I uploaded new image and still see old image. What do I do?
If you have uploaded new image and still see old imgae then it
is possible due to cache try clicking refresh button on your
browser. If you still dont see your new image then please contact
technical support@machinerydirect.net

How do I subscribe to Machinery Direct newsletter.
Visitors enquiring for machinery, user posting for machinery wanted and members are automatically in our newsletter database. You could also especially subscribe for Machinery Direct newsletter by filling name and email in newsletter form.
How do I unsubscribe from receiving newsletter?
To unsubscribe, please click on the unsubscribe link on your monthly newsletter or the 'unsubscribe' link on the Machinery Direct homepage.
Payments
What are the accepted methods of payment?
Payment can be made by Cheque, money order, Credit card or direct debit.
I want to pay by cheque?
Please post your cheque to Machinery Direct. Cheque must be made payable to "MachineryDirect.net Pty Ltd".
Can I pay with more than one credit card? What Credit Card are accepted?
Yes. We currently accept BankCard, Visa and Master card.
I need my invoices. How do I get them?
You can view your invoices in Account section of member's area.
When is my next bill due?
Invoice is generated on second of each month.
I have sold my machine advertised on commission on sale and wish to make payment. How do I pay?
We trust you and believe in you. Members who have sold machinery advertised on commission on sale are required to pay 3% of the total cost.
Payment can be made via Cheque, Money Order, Direct deposit or Credit card.
Search
How do I look for machinery that I am interested?
There are three ways to look for machinery of your interest?
1. Click on the browse button and click on the top category machinery like "Engineering, Sheetmetal etc".
2. Click on the image folder. Like Engineering ->Machining Center->Vertical. By doing so machinery on the above category will be displayed.
3. You could use or customised Search box located at the left side of the page.
How do I use Search box located at the left hand side of the page?
To use Search box effeciently you must select the top category. Once you have selected the top category drop down list on second form is loaded. Select your interest category on the second form. Now you could either use text field given to load machinery you are after. In the text field you can write for eg "Amada" and all the machinery from the above category with Amada as manufacturer will be displayed.
